Privacy policy

TopOnMaps (“we”) helps Indian businesses with their Google Business Profile and how they appear in AI assistants. We decide why and how your information is used, so we are responsible for it. Our address is Address to be added.

When you run the free audit

• Business name and area you type in. Used to find your business on Google.
• Public details of the business you pick, such as its rating, review count, category and opening hours, as Google shows them publicly. Used to build your report. We keep the report so we can show it to you again and follow up if you ask us to.
• A scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address. Used only to stop people overloading the free audit. We never store the address itself.

When you unlock your full report

• Your WhatsApp number (required), and your name and email if you choose to give them.
• A record of your consent: that you agreed, when, and the exact words you agreed to.

We use these to send you the report and to talk to you about it and about our services. We ask for your consent before collecting them, and we use them only for these purposes.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your information to anyone.
• We don't ask for your Google password.
• We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

We use a few trusted service providers to run the site. They handle information only to provide their service to us:

• Google: we send the business name and area you type in, to find the business and its public details.
• OpenAI: we send the business's name, category and area to check whether AI assistants recommend it and to write your report summary. We don't send your phone number, name or email.
• Our database and hosting providers, which store the site's data and run the site.

Some of these providers may process information outside India. We may also share information if the law requires it.

• Free audit reports: up to 12 months.
• Your contact details: until you ask us to delete them or withdraw consent, and no longer than 24 months after we last spoke.
• Hashed internet addresses used to prevent overuse: up to 30 days.

You can ask us to:

• tell you what information we hold about you and how we use it
• correct or update it
• delete it
• stop contacting you, by withdrawing your consent at any time

The simplest way is to reply “STOP” to any of our WhatsApp messages, or email privacy@toponmaps.in. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and it doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

Your contact details are stored in a database that only our own servers can read, and access to our dashboard is protected by a password. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your information, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Our services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Our grievance officer is Name to be added. Email privacy@toponmaps.in and we'll reply within 30 days.

If you aren't satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
