Free business listing sites in India (checked for 2026)
The 22 sites below are real, active and used by Indian customers. Start with Google, add a few that every business should have, then the ones made for your kind of business.
Why bother? Google checks your business details against other places they appear online. When your name, address and phone number are the same everywhere, Google can trust them. When Justdial has an old number and Facebook spells your name differently, it's less sure, and customers get confused too.
Each site checked on its official page on 3 Oct 2026.

Which ones to do first
- Your Google Business Profile. It's where most customers will find you, and every other listing should copy its name, address and phone number word for word.
- Bing Places, Apple Maps and Justdial. They cover the other map apps and India's best-known local directory. Bing can import your Google profile, so it takes minutes. Add a Facebook Page if your customers use Facebook or Instagram.
- One or two sites for your kind of business. Practo for clinics, Zomato for restaurants, IndiaMART for suppliers, Sulekha for home services, and so on. Pick the ones your customers actually use, and keep them up to date.
Questions
Are these business listing sites really free?
Most let you create a basic listing for free, including Google, Bing, Apple Maps, Justdial and IndiaMART. Many then sell ads, leads or badges on top. Food delivery apps like Zomato and Swiggy work on commission, so they aren't free directories. We note what each site says about cost, but terms change, so read them before you pay for anything.
Do I need to list my business on every site?
No. Get your Google profile right first, then add Bing Places, Apple Maps and Justdial, then one or two sites made for your kind of business. A few accurate listings you keep up to date are better than many you forget about.
Will listing sites help my business show on Google?
Google checks your business details against other places they appear online, so matching listings help it trust your name, address and phone number. Google doesn't say how much any one site counts. Be wary of anyone selling hundreds of directory submissions; most of those sites have no real visitors.
What details should be the same on every listing?
Your business name, address, phone number and website, written exactly as they are on your Google profile. Hours and main category should match too. Copy them from one place, such as a note on your phone, so the spelling never drifts.
