Phone number not showing on your Google profile: how to fix it

If your number isn't showing, first check that it's saved in the profile and isn't stuck as a pending or rejected edit. Next, check that the profile itself is live. If the number was there before and has gone, Google may have changed or removed it, often because it found a different number for your business somewhere else. Make sure the same number appears on your website and listings, then add it again once.

The edit is pending or not approved
A new or changed number can be held for review. Until it's approved, customers may see no number or the old one.
Google updated or removed it
If Google finds conflicting numbers online, or people report the number as wrong, it may change or remove it.
The profile isn't public yet
If verification isn't finished or the profile is suspended, customers won't see any of its details.

How to fix it
Open the contact section of your profile
Check that the primary phone number is filled in and look for any pending or not-approved message next to it.
Look for a Google update
If your profile shows updates from Google, review them. Accept them if they're right, or edit them back if they're wrong.
Make the number match everywhere
Show the same number on your website, social pages and directory listings so Google can match it to your business.
Re-add it once, then wait
Enter the number with +91 and save. Don't keep changing it while it's under review.
Check from a customer's view
Search your business name from a signed-out phone and see whether the call button and number appear.
For businesses in India
- Toll-free or IVR numbers are often harder for Google to match to one location. A direct mobile or landline for this branch usually works better.
- Old Justdial or IndiaMART listings with a previous number can confuse things. Update or remove them so only the current number appears.
