Not showing on Google Maps after verification: what's going on

A newly verified profile can take a few days to appear everywhere. If it's been longer, check three things. Is the profile actually live, or is an edit or suspension holding it back? Are you searching the right way? Is it simply not ranking for the words you're typing? Search your exact business name from a signed-out phone. If it shows for the name but not for "dentist near me", the profile is live and the issue is ranking. If the pin shows without the business name, that's often just how Maps labels places at that zoom level.

How to fix it
Check the status in your profile
Sign in as the owner and look for any message about a pending review, suspension or duplicate. Fix that first if there is one.
Search your exact name, signed out
On a phone that isn't signed in to your account, search Google Maps for your business name and area. This shows what customers see.
Check the pin location
Make sure the map pin sits on your actual entrance. If it's off, move it in the profile's address settings.
Complete the profile
Add the right primary category, hours, photos and a short, accurate description. This helps Google understand what the business is.
Give it time, then check again
If everything looks fine, avoid making more edits and check again in a few days. Repeated edits can restart reviews.

- In crowded markets and malls, many shops share one building. Add the shop number and floor to the address and place the pin on your own entrance so you don't get hidden behind a neighbour.
- Don't add the area name to your business name to show up more. It breaks Google's name rules and is a common reason for suspensions.
