Google Business Profile for real estate agents and property dealers in India
Updated 3 Oct 2026 by TopOnMaps team
Quick answer
Make one profile for your office, with "Estate agent" as your primary category. Don't create profiles for each project, flat or site. Use your posts for current listings and localities you cover, and ask for a review after the deal is registered or the tenant has moved in.
Pick your categories
Primary category
Estate agent (also shown as “Real estate agent”)
Also add, if they fit
- Property Consultant (also shown as “Real estate consultant”)
- Property Rental Agency (also shown as “Real estate rental agency”)Add if you help people rent.
- Property management companyAdd if you manage flats for owners.
- Google's Indian English list has "Estate agent" (an agent) and "Estate Agent" (an agency). Pick the one that matches you.
- Add "Property Rental Agency" if you help people rent, and "Property management company" only if you look after flats for owners after renting them out.
Services to list
Say what you do and where. Name the localities you work in within the descriptions, in normal sentences.
- Buying and selling flats and houses
- Renting out flats and houses
- Commercial shops and offices
- Plots and land
- Paying guest and hostel search, if you do it
- Help with rent agreements and documents
- Home loan help, only if you actually arrange it with a lender
- Property management for NRI owners, if you offer it
Photos that work
- Your office front and board, so clients know you're a real office.
- The office inside, with your team.
- Photos of properties you're currently selling or renting, taken by you, with the owner's permission.
- Localities you cover: a market, a main road, a landmark.
- Don't use builder renders as if they were real photos of a finished property.
What to post about
- New listings: area, size, price or rent, and a few real photos.
- Festival seasons like Navratri, Akshaya Tritiya or Diwali, when many families plan purchases. Keep posts factual, not pushy.
- Rental listings before school and college admissions in your area.
- A short guide to documents a tenant or buyer should check.
- If RERA rules apply to the projects you sell, check what they require in advertisements before posting.
When and how to ask for reviews
Ask once the deal is done: after registration for a sale, or after the tenant has moved in and settled for rentals. Owners you've helped are worth asking too.
Ask at the handover
When you hand over the keys or the registered papers, ask the buyer or tenant for a Google review.
Ask the owner as well
The owner who sold or rented through you is a client too. Ask them after the deal closes.
Send the link on WhatsApp
Send it the same evening with a thank-you message.
Ask everyone, including deals that were hard
Don't only ask the easy ones. And never offer a lower brokerage in exchange for a review.
Whenever you ask, Google's rules apply: ask every customer, not only the happy ones, and never offer anything in return for a review.
Mistakes to avoid
A profile for every project
Google doesn't allow profiles for each project, site or flat. They get removed and can put your main profile at risk.
Localities in the business name
"Gupta Properties" is fine. "Gupta Properties - Flats in Noida Extension" can get your profile suspended.
Virtual office addresses
A co-working desk or virtual office you don't staff isn't eligible. Use the address where you actually meet clients.
Questions
Can I use my home as my office address?
Only if you meet clients there during your stated hours. If you always meet clients at properties, hide the address and set the areas you serve.
Should I add each property I'm selling?
Don't make separate profiles. Use posts and photos on your one office profile to show current listings.
